These have great stability forward, backward and laterally.I am 52 and have worked out all my life and taught aerobics many years ago.Now I cross train, doing everything from high impact aerobics to weight training and find these shoes to be the most comfortable, light weight shoe I have ever worn.I came back and bought another pair in case they stopped producing the Influence.

I have Jazzercised for over 20 years, and have always liked to wear a high top for additional ankle support. Through the years, I have consistently bought Ryka, but, unfortunately, I can no longer seem to find Ryka high tops with the lateral support that I am used to. They are comfortable, stylish, and light; + 3 stars for that. Minus 2 stars for lack of lateral support.
