Acoustic Guitar Cases are portable containers designed for carrying, protecting or safely storing an acoustic guitar. The exterior shell of the case can be soft, hard or a combination of both. Soft cases, also known as Gig Bags, are usually made of polyester, nylon or other synthetic material. These usually feature a zippered enclosure, an outside zippered pocket, carrying handles and a sometimes backpack straps. They are lightweight and easy to carry. Hard cases have casing frames made of injected molded polyethylene or plywood veneer covered with leather, allowing the case to breath. They usually have form-fitted interiors to prevent the instrument from moving inside the case. Hard cases are usually heavier, but they offer better protection against shock impacts. The hybrid cases are the most versatile. They feature an ultra light laminated foam shell with strategically placed hard panels that provide extra protection. An accessory compartment inside Acoustic Guitar Cases is usually part of the design.
