Comfortable, but issues with the sole January 20, 2011

This shoe is very comfortable and versatile, whether used on concrete or ground. The biggest issue is that the last pair only lasted a few months - the sole began to dry rot even though the leather was fine on the actual shoe. The company knows they have a problem because even though they tried to say the shoes had been stored too between wearing in the house (go figure that one!), on the return form they actually list: sole is disintegrating as one of the reasons for return. Hopefully they have solved the problem and this pair won't 'dry rot' after a few months because in all other respects I really like this boot. Been wearing the same brand and style for years!

I really didn't get to try these shoes as the steel toes were a bit too narrow even though I got an extra wide.
