| | About Mountaineering Shoes: |
|---|
| | | Mountaineering shoes are footwear designed for the sport of mountaineering. This sport takes place in either rocky or icy terrain, so mountaineering shoes can handle those conditions as necessary. Mountaineering shoes must be not only sturdy, but also have good, strong soles that can grip the rocks and/or ice to prevent slipping. Mountaineering shoes also tend to be waterproof or water resistant for protection from mountain weather conditions. |

Lowa Creek II GTX
Great boots!
January 21, 2013
Reviewer: Daniel J from Saint-Armand, Quebec
Excellent boots from an excellent manufacturer. This is the second pair of Lowa boots I've owned, and I'll always get Lowa from now on. These boots in particular are as light as feathers and just as comfortable. The height of the boot makes for a very secure fit and ankle support is ample. Highly recommended winter boot.
Wears this shoe: Whenever I'm outside in the countryside in cold weather.
