Shoe Size: Felt half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked My Grandmother bought me a pair of Willits black and white saddle shoes the Christmas before last. At first I thought she had freaked out, but I wore them just to be nice. I was surprised and started to like them. I wore them a few days later with jeans, and then to school. I'm the only boy in my school that wears shoes like this, but I like them and my girlfriend likes them, too. A couple of my guy friends have asked me where I got them, but I tell them I don't know. My grandma got them.
Wears this shoe: At first I wore them to church, but now only to school or at home.

Adorable shoes that will take you back in time February 03, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked They run a little small though. I wear 9-1/2 and ended up sending them back for a 10. Definitely take the advice of adding a half size if you want to be as comfortable as you'll be cute in these shoes.I bought a pair of saddle shoes from another online shoe store, and they weren't as cute, the toes were too squared. I don't like the bass tag on the side of Bass' saddle shoe because its not how I remember them as a kid with a Bass tag. These are as close to the original as you can get looks wise. Just be sure you add that half size when you buy them and you'll be one happy customer!

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked I've always loved saddle shoes (wore them for school in the 1960's) and after reading the reviews I bought a pair of Willits black/white saddles for my eleven-year-old grandson for Christmas. Needless to say he was very surprised! My daughter (his mother) suggested that he wear them that evening for our family gathering, and he reluctantly agreed, pairing them with black slacks, white long-sleeved dress shirt, and a red sleeveless sweater. He looked so handsome and his fourteen-year-old female cousin just couldn't stop complimenting him on his outfit. I noticed that my grandson was frequently staring at his feet, and as the evening progressed I could tell that he really liked the look. A couple days later he voluntarily wore them with a casual jeans outfit, and repeated this a couple days after that. When school was ready to resume, he asked his mother if he could wear them to school! I live about an hour away, so I don't see my grandson every day, but his mother tells me that these are his new favorite shoes. I think we have a new convert to loving this classic All-American shoe!

After reading the reviews my wife convinced me to order a pair of black and white Willits saddle shoes for each of our kids as primary school shoes. We couldn't be more pleased! Our sixth grade son loves his, as do his younger siblings. I have to wonder why they are marketed only for girls? Now a few months into the school year our sons have several other boys that have gotten saddle shoes as well, however our two girls remain alone. They do, however, like them even better than their mary janes.
Wears this shoe: Our four children wear them to school, boys for church as well.

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I bought these shoes for my 10-year-old daughter because I like the classic style, and they were available in black and white. These colors were allowed as part of the school uniform. They are sturdy and wear well and always look nice. The size was perfect as I had measured her feet. We had a pair last year and they were in good enough shape at the end of the school year to give to another girl with smaller feet.
