Disappointed in fit and quality

I was looking for a low heeled closed toe shoe that I could wear with slacks that was comfortable but not clunky looking. When the shoes arrived, I thought these fit the bill. They seemed tight at first. I almost sent them back for a larger size. I'm glad I didn't as they quickly stretched and would flop off my heel. I clumped when I walked to the point where my husband was making jokes about the noise. The elastic straps were not firm enough to keep them in place. I'd never dance in them. The leather started wrinkling badly across the toes. Then the heel cap fell off one of the shoes. I've super-glued it back on this time but now the leather is frayed now around the cap. I don't know if the heel cap will stay on and it looks like the soles are going to wear through soon. I don't wear these for walking and they aren't exposed to salt or snow here in Florida. I just wear them mostly in my office and might stop at the grocery on the way home. They haven't been abused. I remember buying Old Maine Trotters years ago and the quality was good. Wonder where these are made now? I just bought these in November and it's early March now. I have shoes I have been wearing for 10 years that are in better shape. Maybe shoes were better made back then.

I like the Doris because I can wear it anywhere. It looks great with slacks or a dress. It fit a little snug when I first wore it but is very comfortable now. I was happy to find Shoe Buy because they handle AAA shoes which are hard to find.

These shoes are better than expected. They fit well right out of the box. The toe space is great and the insole is well padded. They were very comfortable just trying them on and walking around in the house.This is a keeper! The suede/patent herringbone is more subtle then I expected too. It will look good with grey or black and I don't feel as if the patterned shoes are too flashy for my conservative nature.

I have purchased Trotters before and been happy with the brand, so I tried this shoe. This shoe was very comfortable, even though I have bunions on both my feet. I first ordered the 10W Doris but it was too narrow this 10W Dreama was wide enough. I wore it to work all day long, over 8 hours, and my feet felt great. Comfort is most important with me but I got a comment on how cute they were from a co-worker. Great shoe!
