These are quality shoes, made from robust leather and durable rubber. I'm impressed with the workmanship.Because my feet are flat and narrow, I generally have trouble finding traditional oxfords that fit. Not surprisingly, I found this true with the Dunham Battery Park Waterproof Oxford. I ordered a B width, but still found them roomy.After inserting a used footbed from an old pair of New Balance cross trainers beneath the existing footbed, and re-lacing them corset-style to maximize their tightness, things improved. Since my foot sits low, the top rear of the shoe tends to dig into the space between my heel and ankle.But I haven't given up yet. I'm still working with them. I expect as the leather softens, these will become old trusted friends.

I purchased these shoes for my husband who wears a W width shoe and he put them on as soon as they were delivered and has worn them every day since. The best part is that they are also waterproof and perfect for rainy days. They are perfect for every day wear but not as a dress shoe. Very comfortable and excellent as a walking shoe.
