New Balance M1540 1540s no more

I've owned many pairs of New Balance over the years. I loved the last two pairs of 1123's, then New Balance in their brillant wisdom went to the 1540. I've owned these shoes for over a year. My toes touch the top and they are to narrow. After a year of trying to stretch them out I am finally trying to wear them with my orthotics, without much success. Currently out looking for a non-New Balance shoe. From what I've read many folks seemed happy with the 1123's, to bad New Balance couldn't stick with something that worked.

I absolutely love these shoes. I've had several barefoot shoes in my life and love that these incorporate the best parts of "barefoot" with some comfort and stability. Very much worth the money.

These are very light weight but very cushioned. I have found them to be the most comfortable shoes I have bought in a long time. I put them on and wore them every day for a week for 8 plus hours at work - I didn't even need to break them in. I have already bought a second pair, I love them so much!

I bought these shoes because I needed a white shoe. They are not the highest quality shoe. They have a very stiff sole with a hard molded rubber plate at the arch. This lack of flexibility has caused some foot pains because my arch doesn't match the same profile as the plastic arch.Overall, finding athletic looking white shoes is a challenge and is the only reason I purchased these shoes.

Very nice shoe! It fit true to size and width. I bought the bright orange ones and they are bright! Very sharp shoes! Feel great, and very light!
