The shaft of these boots is wide enough to tuck in pants and they have elastic in the shaft so they can stretch. The down side to this is that if you have average-sized calves and wear leggings or tights, then they are a little lose. I am very happy with these boots in general as it is difficult for me to find something comfortable enough to walk around all day in the city. they label says they are waterproof, but I have not tested them out yet in wet conditions--but if they really are, it makes this pair of boots all the more perfect. My feet are a little on the wide side, and I ordered the wide which really made a perfect fit for me.

These are very comfortable. They feel true to size with socks on, but maybe a little roomy without or with stockings. They are a little chunky to be too dressy, but I rarely get dressed up.

Overall good quality boot. Style is a little frumpy, but wedge styles it up a bit. Instep is very tight, but once on, is comfortable.

This shoe has awesome purple laces which add a lot of style to it. My toe box is perfect for my little wider then normal front of foot. My only gripe is with the arch. I have a long and high arch and it does not get met by this shoe. This is normal for me with heels. I took some medium leather aches from the local cobbler and peeled off the adhesive to stick them in. Now it s much better.The shoe appears to be well made. Kickers makes a really neat shoe
