Shoe felt very wide, heel especially

I read many of the reviews (also from the various colors as well). I decided to get this blue color, in my usual size, 8 Wide. When I read many of the reviews, there were some that mentioned that the shoe did run larger than usual and that the heel was wider, too. Well, I should have listened, especially about the heel portion. When I received my shoes earlier today; initially when I opened the box, I was pleased. Pleased with the look of the shoe; very cute, nice colors, etc. Then the part where you try on; not so great. My normally sized 8 Wide feet, in these particular shoes looked almost lost in these shoes. (Well, maybe not lost), but I tell you they were at LEAST a size (possibly a tad more) larger AND wider than what I anticipated. Yes, they were a size 8Wide shoe. Let me say, these particular shoes run large and yes, in the heel, too. Unless you have a very wide - say extra wide foot and larger type heel, I would say these might work for you. I also have a decent size bunion on my left foot just to give you an idea plus I had one removed on my right and I require comfort. I am disappointed I have to return these as they are nice looking and I really wanted to keep them. However, I simply cannot and am returning and will look for a different type of shoe, with hopefully no problems with sizing, fit, etc. Especially since this would have been my first order from Shoe Buy.com These things do happen however. Customer Service was very nice and accommodating.
