Most comfortable walking shoe Ive had in ages

I have a shallower angle on my toes than most shoe lasts allow for, making my feet appear wider, but a regular width heel. Normally I have to order a shoe with extra wide toes to allow for a longer little toe, then the heel is too wide. Or I buy a longer shoe but then my foot slides too far forward or it's too narrow. But these shoes were perfect. I got an extra wide size in my regular length. The instep is cut higher (closer to the ankle) so I can lace it loose near the toes and tight up top. Then my foot does not slip around, and stays comfortable. I love that the sole is thinner, and the leather is soft, so it is more like wearing simple canvas shoes or even being barefoot. I find as a result my feet don't get as tired as they do in those thickly padded and soled shoes that are supposed to be comfortable but aren't. I wear these for 14-16 hours and walk 3-3.5 miles exercise walking per day plus puttering around the house, without my feet getting tired. Amazing, and I have budding arthritis.
