Product Description (Men's Vasque Zephyr II)
Re-designed for 2008, the next generation Zephyr is a modern boot for the serious hiker and backpacker.
Based on the Vasque exclusive Vibram Summit sole, the new midsole is composed of a PU heel cradle, an EVA forepart and a torsion control TPU stabilizer.
A waterproof 2.4mm leather, high tenacity polyamide mesh and Gore-Tex membrane create a light weight, waterproof breathable upper.
All seams are sealed to provide a highly water-resistant and breathable boot.
Fit:
This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

Excellent Boots

Very nice quality. Very nice fit. This is the first time in years that I have gotten an exact fit right out of the box. These feel light, but very rugged. They almost completely eliminate foot fatigue. Great tongue and ankle padding. I gave these a try because I used to wear Vasque Skywalks for years, then they quit making them. I'm a Vasque fan again. I highly recommend these boots. Also, you can't go wrong buying from Shoebuy.com.

Purchased 11 1/2 Wide which was perfect for me. I wore the boots for several evenings, then went on a 3 day trip in the mountains west of Albuquerque, NM. Lots of volcanic rock in that area. Boot held well on the rocks and gave great support. I bought the Vasque because I had good luck with them many years ago. They are heavier, and warmer. However, I believe they offer some better support and really fit like a glove. These are a real working boot and probably too heavy and warm to wear every day for around town type activity. But if you want a rugged and stable boot this is a good choice.

These are great hiking shoes! Will be part of my sons troop (group of 12), going to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, on a 12 day 65 mile trek. Vasque Zephyr II has been great & comfortable so far on practice hikes. Keeps my feet cool and dry. It is a great fit, no cons about it! Aloha from Hawaii!
