Great boots with just the support I wanted. After a short break-in the boots still hurt the top of my foot. I simply laced up the boot skipping the third lace eye from the toe and the problem was gone. Took a four day hike on the Appalachian Trail and did not have any problems with my feet, unlike most others in our group. Great boot.

This is a great work (construction) boot and great mid-hiker. This is the only boot that I am able to walk all week in, then on the weekend go backpacking in the same boot. The tread works well on almost any surface and gore-tex keeps the toes dry and warm. I will definitely buy more of these.

Good hiking boot

I have found this boot to be generally comfortable and well built so far. The soles of the boot practically impressed me, since I typically end up with sore feet and twist my ankles frequently when doing steep descents on rocky terrain. Thus far that hasn't been the case with these boots. The only complaints that I have are minor ones. The break-in period of these boots appears to be a little longer than I am use to and the padding in the heel cup has exposed stiching, resulting in blisters despite using sock liners and thickly padded socks. I suspect that won't be an issue once the boots are fully broke in.

Bought a new pair and wore it up to Mt. Whitney without breaking them in. Amazingly comfortable for brand new shoes. Toward the end of the trip my heel started to rub against the back of the shoes. I think my socks were wearing thin. I would suggest getting good wool socks to protect against your heels rubbing against back of shoes. Gore-Tex worked perfectly overall, very satisfied.
