I LOVE this boot!

I've had other Vasque hiking boots, but these are the best. The high and soft cuff provides cushioned support for my ankles, the rigidity of the shoe along the shank, coupled with a really deep tread, make for excellent traction and balance, especially when hiking up and down a mountain. They've become my boot of choice and I recommend them highly.

Very comfortable, broken in feel. Good ankle support, plenty of toe room but not enough to slam your toes on descents, nice cushioned feel with lightweight cotton hiking socks. I bought these based on the reviews I read, they are worth every dollar.

Very Nice Hiker

I bought this hiking boot because it was one of only a few available in wide width. While it felt a bit stiff on the ankle right out of the box, it softened up quickly enough to be comfortable for a 3.5 mile hike on the first wearing. The sole has a bit of rocker action, which makes for easy walking. The tread gives good traction, but doesn't hold a lot of mud like some boots do. Great ankle support - overall a very nice hiker.

Wore these boots straight out of the box on a long(12 hour) day hike. The Trail was rigorous and extremely muddy. My feet stayed dry and comfortable all day even though I was in mud up to my kees at times. Did apply additional waterproofing to boots before wearing.

I'm a novice to the hiking world and I had tried on a few pairs of hiking boots and this brand was by far the most comfortable boot I tried on. I am still breaking them in as I only went on a couple mile hike, but the boots were a great addition to the hike!
