I own one other pair of Vasque boots, plus I own a pair of Vasque cross-trainers. I've worn my boots for approximately 6 years and am very hard on my footwear. They are very comfortable and work well for hiking or every day wear. I bought this pair in a different color. These boots are sturdy, well-made, and last for years. They are worth the price.

This is my 2nd pair of Vasque boots. I bought my first pair about 20 years ago, wore them for a year but could never seem to break them in right. Where the Top of the boot hit above the ankle would always hurt. Now I had foot surgery several months ago and have my great toe fused. This is the only shoe/boot that I am truly comfortable in and the boot is protective of my toe. I can now stand on my feet for several hours straight walking around with out pain or discomfort. PS...Shoebuy.com is great to buy from also.

I bought these for my son. He got his first pair of Sundowners when he was 13, and a very active Boy Scout. When he outgrew them, my husband wore them for several years of camping and hiking. Sundowners have remained my son's favorite hiking boots, throughout 11 years of high adventures. They always look great, yet are rugged and wear well. Highly recommended.

I bought the Vasque boots to have a good pair of backpacking/hunting/general-purpose outdoor boots. Likes:They worked well for hunting - my feet stayed dry and warm. The boots have good traction - even for pushing cars on snowy driveways. Good ankle support has protected my ankles when I had rolled one in running shoes and needed to carry a heavy backpack to class.Has quality to last for years with good care.Dislikes:The only thing I've noticed is that the tongue is not particularly stable even when fully laced.
