Quickly among my favorites December 11, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked The fit of the shoe is a bit narrow, but nonetheless extremely comfortable. I put them on to "break them in" for a few hours, and instead found they were excellent out-of-the-box. Strangely, you can still feel pebbles through the vibram soles. Not a problem, though. Overall extremely comfortable and a definite favorite. I used a waterproofing product on mine, which significantly darkened them (from golden to brown, which I actually like better.

I am optimistic about this shoe July 20, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked I bought these shoes due to the high recommendation given as a travel/hiking shoe by Outside Magazine. I've only worn them three times, but have a few observations: Initial break in was a bit stiff, the length feels true to size, but I've been used to wearing Keens (comfortably) which have a wide/squarish footwell and the Rifts have a narrower/pointed footwell comparatively. The other reviews which note that they run small for size would be accurate for wider feet. I would say I am a medium width. After wearing them for about 8 hours a day they felt supportive and have broken in nicely, opening up the footwell a bit, and the comfort is increasing with each wear. I hope they earn a 5 star grade in a few weeks -

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I have a narrow heel and this shoe fit my foot very well, hugging the heel, support on the bottom, and snug yet comfortable fit on the rest of my foot. I was worried the red color would be a little Too Too red but I think the color is a bit more muted than the photoes show. Still it is a red shoe so if you don't want to be accused of wearing ruby slippers pick another color. I'm satisfied with the product and prompt shipping and the price couldn't be beat.
