I have purchased several different hiking boots,all of which had to be returned because of stiffness, or awkward, blister-causing bending in the shoe. This boot is comfortable right out of the box, and fits perfectly. I highly recommend it- especially for people with wide feet.

I purchased this pair of boots for a day of hiking with my husband. Since I have a wide foot, I thought I would have to "break them in" prior to going, but did not have to - they were comfortable right out the box! I was impressed with the traction I had on the trails and did not have any problems with blisters or sore feet! Overall, I highly recommend this boot!

This functions as a warm-weather, all-around shoe for me, as we are an active outdoor-type family. I have preferred the superior traction of Vibram soles since the 70's for day-hiking in the Angeles Crest Forest. I ordered a pair for our daughter, and my husband has them too. To get a "cradle-the-foot" supportive fit, we make certain to tighten the laces firmly, from the base of our toes, right on up.
Wears this shoe: Doing outdoor chores, trips to local trails, hauling & loading supplies.

Great shoe for day hiking and long days on your feet. Did not require break-in; wore them all day the first time I wore them and they felt great. They look great and come in all sizes, so I was able to get the same shoes for the whole family.

IThese shoes are sturdy, comfortable, good looking and high quality. My orthotics fit inside without having to remove the manufacturer's innersole and they were comfortable from the first wearing.
