This is a great shoe. I bought them about 1 year ago, and I have worn the hiking many, many times on a variety of trail types. They are extremely comfortable and durable. They look great and provide great traction with moderate ankle support. I have the chocolate colored ones, and they hardly shoe the dirt. I also wear them a lot with jeans.

I bought these shoes for outdoor hiking trails (day hikes only). The color is nice, the fit was great and the soles are not slick. I replaced the flimsy insole with my custom orthotics and they fit perfect. The shoe laces are slippery and I have to double knot them, but that's okay.

Like many mfgs, wish Vasque was more consistent in sizing. I bought a pair of MICA last year that are heavier duty (off pavement) and 9.5 fits fine. I had to exchange these for a 10 not so much because of the length but because of the toe box depth. My big toe would hit the top of the shoe above it when I walked in the 9.5. great price for pavement walks and hikes. Great service from Shoebuy

I bought this shoe to wear everywhere.. from red clay to sand, asphalt to boulders, yoga to the court.I've worn the pair for about a month. THe Mantra held up to it's reputation..not to mention the terrain.. and I couldn't be more pleased. I usually wear a women's 9.5, so I ordered a 10 (as advised) and the fit was perfect right out of the box. The Mantra also had no break in time, and has been consistently comfy. The vibram sole gets and keeps a grip, without retaining terrain in the tread. I've wiped mud off them, but never had to clean the tread. With breathable mesh uppers. I haven't had sore knees, or lower back fatigue while wearing the Vasque Mantra Overall, I think the Mantra will carry me as far as my endurance will take me!
