I bought these shoes to wear walking my dog and to support my ankles which are weak while going over all sorts of terrain. They are very comfortable yet strong, like a hiking tennis shoe.

If it weren't for the narrowing of the toe box, the shoe would be great. I have a C-D width foot and the toe box is too rounded and closes up too early causing a pinch to the baby toe.

I needed a new pair of hiking boots, wanted Gortex and have been happy with Vasque in the past, so I thought I'd try these. Boy, am I glad I did! They are lightweight, cool, comfortable and a great deal. They needed NO break-in time whatsoever! I may even have to order another pair just to know I don't have to look for something else later!
Wears this shoe: At home (I live on a mountain cattle ranch), at our desert home and around town!
