I am very fussy about what I put on my feet and I am going to order a third pair of these boots - I have put too many miles on my other pairs. I do a lot of trail hiking in both winter and summer and snowshoeing in winter and I have never had a blister or hot spot with these boots. They provide enough support for trail hiking, some rather rough trails and rocky trails. I have forded streams and if the water doesn't reach the top of my boot, my feet are dry. I have also worn them for three weeks straight one winter while walking daily on concrete - my feet were warm and comfortable!
Wears this shoe: All year round, hiking and snowshoeing.

My wife will not wear a shoe/boot, except dress shoes, without it feeling cushiony. These fit the bill. I have 2 pairs myself. THE most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. My wife likes them a lot, too. She wears them a lot. Plus, they look very nice on her feet (size 9).

I had to re-order them as my usual size felt too small, so I suggest that you order them in 1/2 size larger than you usually wear. I have only worn them around the house so far to test them & they feel comfortable and don't rub anywhere. I also wear them with thorlo women's everyday socks as the light hiking socks were too thick & made the boots too tight. I think they will do nicely for my upcoming trek.
Wears this shoe: ONLY AROUND THE HOUSE SO FAR, BUT WILL DO HIKING IN THEM SOON.

I had researched many hiking boots before deciding to give these a try. I find these boots to be relatively comfortable. I wish they had a better closure at top (tighter) as I had burrs and thorns find their way in. I now wear them with gaiters. I've put many miles on them already without so much as a rub, blister, or sore spot.
Wears this shoe: Hiking in woods, do not wear them on concrete anymore.

I wanted something lightweight and waterproof to wear for winter walking/hiking and with my snowshoes. These are perfect! I am a hard fit, because my feet are long and skinny. And even though these did not come in a narrow, I don't feel like I slop around in them like most other boots I've tried. They keep my feet warm and dry, and they are very stylish-looking too.
Wears this shoe: Every day this time of year for walking.
