These shoes are really dressy. The heel is quite low, but looks higher/dressier and sits forward a bit. It's similar to a "kitten heel" so your balance is easier. You can dance in these shoes all night. The ROUND toe and bow make them look very old-fashioned in a classy sort of way.
Wears this shoe: very dressy occasions--where else is satin appropriate?!
