I was looking for a comfortable black shoe that was a little dressier than my everyday shoe. I normally wear a 9 in dress shoes that I would wear trouser socks or nylons with, and a 9 1/2 in everyday comfort shoes. I ordered a 9 in this shoe, but they're too long. Since I haven't worn an 8 1/2 since junior high, I kept the 9 and put a heel pad in them. They're fairly comfortable -- not as comfortable as my everyday Clarks, but better than my other dressier shoes.

Mainly, I was needing gray or pewter color shoes. I am getting up there in years and wanted something comfortable and attractive too. This shoe has both comfort and very attractive. They were comfortable the first time I wore them. Perhaps, I could have used l/2 size smaller, but not available. There is just a little extra in the length of the toe, but does not make a difference in the fit. The shoe is shiny and the design adds to the overall good looking shoe.
Wears this shoe: Ive worn to grocery store and with slacks to church.
