Disappointed in fit and quality March 18, 2013 Reviewer: Kathy from Southern Florida Shoe Size: Felt full size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked I was looking for a low heeled closed toe shoe that I could wear with slacks that was comfortable but not clunky looking. When the shoes arrived, I thought these fit the bill. They seemed tight at first. I almost sent them back for a larger size. I'm glad I didn't as they quickly stretched and would flop off my heel. I clumped when I walked to the point where my husband was making jokes about the noise. The elastic straps were not firm enough to keep them in place. I'd never dance in them. The leather started wrinkling badly across the toes. Then the heel cap fell off one of the shoes. I've super-glued it back on this time but now the leather is frayed now around the cap. I don't know if the heel cap will stay on and it looks like the soles are going to wear through soon. I don't wear these for walking and they aren't exposed to salt or snow here in Florida. I just wear them mostly in my office and might stop at the grocery on the way home. They haven't been abused. I remember buying Old Maine Trotters years ago and the quality was good. Wonder where these are made now? I just bought these in November and it's early March now. I have shoes I have been wearing for 10 years that are in better shape. Maybe shoes were better made back then. Wears this shoe: To work with slacks

Nice staple dress shoe January 19, 2013 Reviewer: Virginia from Myerstown, PA Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked I like this shoe because the heel is easy walking, the elastic criss cross straps help keep the shoe on since I have a narrow heel. It was the only decent looking, comfortable shoe for someone who has had knee replacements. Wears this shoe: For church and other dressy occasions

Great shoe December 27, 2012 Reviewer: Re from Barnegat, NJ Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Since I have problems getting shoes to fit properly, I thought I would try a shoe that conformed more to my foot. My problem is that I have a narrow heel, but the rest of my foot is a medium. With a narrow overall width, most shoes would slip off my heel. The criss cross strap helps keep the shoe securely on my foot while giving the toe area more room. The shoe is very stylish and comfortable. Wears this shoe: I would wear these shoes as a dress shoe with slacks, skirts or dress.

A bit loose- OK for Walking But Not For Dancing December 07, 2012 Reviewer: Anonymous from Southern Florida Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width These shoes felt tight at first. I thought maybe I had ordered a size too small. The first day I wore them, thought, they quickly stretched such that my heels slip a bit when I walk. I usually wear a 10 but I think a 9 1/2 in this style would have been a better for me. I wouldn't wear them dancing without putting a clear strap around the arch and my foot as they would likely slip off. The front cross straps don't keep the shoe on your foot. They are, though, very comfortable and a good business shoe. I'm happy with them but if they had stretched before I wore them outside and didn't feel it was fair to return them, I would have sent them back for 1/2 a size smaller. That's the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars. Wears this shoe: To work with slacks
