Slip-on style shoes with an open back and a closed front that are generally casual and comfortable. The sole is very rigid and traditionally made from wood, but modern styles also feature cork, rubber, or plastic soles.
Heels are shoes featuring an incline on the heel. Heels could be a separate piece from the outsole or a wedge heel that runs the entire length of the outsole. The heel provides elevation and can be found in many different shapes, including block, tapered, blade, and wedge. Heels can also be many different heights such as kitten heel, stilleto heel, low heel, mid heel or high heel.

The shoes are exactly the way I remember them from the 70's. I like them a lot and whenever I wear them, I receive compliments. I enjoy the fact that my feet never feel too hot or too cold in them. I also feel they support my feet well.

I have worn Troentorp Bastad clogs for about 40 years. As a schoolteacher, I was on my feet for most of the day. These shoes offered support and comfort and kept me out of the mudpuddles on recess duty. They last several years and are a great value.

Was a little hesitant as my poor old dogs have started to hurt a bit and I really have to be careful what shoes I wear now BUT I hoped that the rigidness of the wood with the thick rubber sole would be a comfortable combo and it has proved to be! Really comfy and no foot pain.
