These traditional clogs are handmade in Sweden. An orthopedically constructed foot bed supports even weight distribution with a soft step, helping reduce lower back strain and leg and foot discomfort.
Shaped to exact measurements, the cowhide leather uppers are wet-lasted and use hand-hammered stainless steel nails to attach to the moisture-resistant alder foot bed , which has a raised heel and an anatomically correct scaffoid metatarsal arch and toe well.
With 1" heat-bonded polyurethane sole and non-skid tread.

I had to get some safety shoes for work and luckily found a pair I could live with from shoebuy.com. These clogs were the high quality I've come to expect from the Bastad/Troentrop brand. I've worn the brand since the late 1960s and have never been disappointed. The fit is good. Although it will take some getting used to to have clogs with a covered heel. I would recommend these to any clog wearer who requires safety shoes.

The clogs fit and feel perfect. It does take a day or two to get used to the feel of walking up and down stairs. The other thing is these clogs are a little higher then say tennis shoes, so it is easy to scuff the tops while driving the car by moving from gas to brake peddle. Outside of that these are the best made pair of shoes I have ever owned, and granted they do look a little weird, I cannot see myself ever wearing anything less.

I think the most important thing to understand about Troentorp shoes is that they take some getting used to. When I first tried them on I was skeptical about the stiffness of the sole. Now I have to remind myself to put on other shoes or I would wear them all the time.
