I LOVE these clogs!! March 22, 2011 Reviewer: SoCal gal from Del Mar, CA Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I had searched for a long time looking for a clog with this overall shape, in both the toe area as well as the shape of the sole. I was trying to replace my favorite pair of Bass clogs which I had for years, but eventually split on the plastic sole. It was frustrating that Bass no longer made anything like the ones I loved, so my search began for a replacement. While the sole on these new clogs has the "tread look" (which I didn't prefer), these new clogs have a wood bottom with the plastic sole, so I'd expect that the splitting problem I had with the Bass clogs won't be able to occur. I LOVE these new clogs!! (I also had ordered the same clog in the 'traditional' style, but they were appreciably tighter across the top of my foot at the edge, so they were returned). Shoebuy is awesome with the easy return policy and free shipping. I'm definitely a fan! Wears this shoe: Casual wear with jeans.

Back into Bastads! August 21, 2010 Reviewer: lorin from Kailua-Kona, HI Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width My black Donatello Troentorps (I started buying these when they were Bastad clogs) are the first pair I have purchased since spending five years in "rubber slippers." I was concerned about my toes, since they've been spreading out in the tropical heat and freedom of no coverage. But these fantastic shoes provide the same boxy toe-space I remembered from PA. They are comfortable, quiet to walk in due to the thick rubber on the bottom of the wood, and solidly made. After giving them a lick of waterproofing, I am finding them holding up as well to salt and sand as they did to ice and snow. They even went mud-walking in the school garden and still washed off looking new. My old pairs (sadly, yardsaled long since) lasted for*ever* with an occasional new application of rubber by the local cobbler. I expect these will do just as well. I'm wearing them with no socks, and feeling like they carved the footbed as a custom fit for my one-quarter-swedish feet. Five years ago in a size eight I would have had room for a thick sock--I think it's my feet that have widened, and socks would be too warm anyhow. Wears this shoe: To work and after; goes with everything.
