There is a reason that folks who work on hard floors all day insist on Troentorp Bastad Clogs. The support is phenominal. Unlike other brands of clogs with wider, flatter footbeds, these clogs are narrow enough to fit snuggly, have high insteps/arches, carefully placed toe grips, and thick rubber soles on the bottom. Your foot is cushioned from pounding on hard floors, has something to grab hold of when walking, yet has perfect arch support when standing. I was introduced to these clogs and "Norwegian Americans" 35+ years ago at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. The styles have remained virtually unchanged and I have yet to find better fitting clogs. Certain models have added comfort padding across the top and the thickness of the rubber sole has thickened increasing the comfort while decreasing the clomping---Beware! There is still sufficient wood for any puppy to want these clogs for cutting teeth! The lacing feature of the Audobon means that they can be adjusted to fit perfectly no matter the foot covering--bare feet to thick socks. There is no comparison in the support or comfort experienced with a troentorp clog. Just make sure to purchase the correct size to fit your instep.
