Nylites, born in 1967, were soon regarded as the first luxury sports shoe. These canvas tennis shoes reigned supreme on courts around the world in the 1970s.
With a distinct "v" toe shape and lightweight rubber outsole, today's Nylite maintains the same timeless design.
The Tretorn Nylite Canvas features a soft lining that provides sockless comfort. Traditionalists favor the tennis whites, but the color-contrasting Gullwing logo and lining offer a fun alternative.

I had been so delighted with the quality, style and comfort of the shoe I had worn for so-o-o many years that I had to replace it with the same if possible. I found it, placed my first order with some hesitancy, but was totally delighted with the product ... quality, size, and comfort. Highly recommended.

I was no longer able to buy this type of runner in Vancouver as they are no longer carried here. The pair I bought here are more plush - a gauze like lining in the insole as well as on the inside of the tongue. There is also a slightly broader band from the beginning of the laces on the left, around the heel and to the beginning of the laces on the right. In general, they seem somewhat less in quality as far as the fabric is concerned. On the whole, I am very pleased with them.
Wears this shoe: When I go for groceries, to medical appointments, or visiting if no rain.

I bought the canvas Tretorn in blue for my daughter's birthday. She works in the city and does a lot of walking. She's been looking for a comfortable, but stylish-looking sneaker. The same sneakers are featured in a very popular collegiate clothing catalog. She's already gotten compliments on her Tretorns and is very happy with them. Shoebuy is a great online shopping source.

The padding on this shoe is thick and cushiony so you can walk for a while in them and still be comfortable. I wore these while standing in line for over half an hour and didn't feel any of the strain/stress/pressure as when I wear thinner soled shoes.

This product is not nearly as comfortable as older versions. I am very disappointed in the construction and quality. There is no padding like previous versions, even the laces were inferior.
