Its smooth leather just looks great. It has a cool plaid pattern inside. It's comfortable to walk and goes well with a casual or a bit dressier look. I have been wearing these for a week now, and they hurt a bit on top, where the stitches join. It might loose out along time.

The shoes leaked the first hike. Both of them and the hike was just on wet grasses trails. Waterproof to me means no wet feet...no matter what the terrain. They were comfy enough to try another pair, but the fact they both leaked within 2 hrs doesn't bode well.
