TrekSta Evolution GTX
Great long distance walking shoe
December 11, 2012
Reviewer: CR Walker from Cedar Rapids, IA
I am a long distance walker and these are great shoes for all day walking. They keep you warm and dry and have adequate cushioning and traction. The shape is unique and fits my foot well. I have custom orthotics in the shoe and the support is perfect. I have worn many different brands of shoe for walking and these are one of the best. I would recommend them to all.

I normally wear a 11.5 EEE, I took a chance and ordered these in size 12. I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis and after wearing the TrekSta for a week I am cured. I just wish they came in syles that I could wear to work. I will be using TrekSta's for all my activities that don't require me to dress up.

TrekSta Evolution Mid GTX
remarkably comfortable hiking shoes
October 03, 2012
Reviewer: Alexia from Lexington, VA
These shoes immediately felt very different and much better than other hiking shoes I've tried on. They seemed to hug the foot and yet provide plenty of room for the toes. I have narrow, blister-prone feet, narrower in the heel. At the suggestion of a shoe salesperson (who carried Treksta but didn't have my size), I decided to try these. Now I've had a chance to wear them on the trail, and so far they've been remarkably comfortable right from the start (resulting in a very slight blister-tendency, nothing like what I usually experience). I'd certainly recommend these shoes to narrow-footed folks like me, and I suspect they would adjust to wider feet as well, by way of the good lacing arrangement.I tried two sizes, 8 and 8.5, and ended up keeping the 8.5s. I'm not sure that was the right choice. In a hiking shoe, it's hard to tell whether the toe room is adequate for downhill hiking until you get out on the trail. The unusual shape & fit of these made this guess a little trickier. The foot-shaped interior of the smaller size might have been a bit more comfortable. Ideally, you'd be able to give these a good try on a downhill slope before settling on the size.
