Updated and improved for 2011, the revised midsole offers more support than ever. Each shoe includes two pairs of laces - make a statement, or, tone it down. NestFIT system cradles your feet, accounting for every contour as it follows the natural flow and design of the foot. Upper, insole, midsole, and outsole come together like never before. HyperGrip/IceLock sole provides traction in any condition. Lightweight, variable-density Zero-Gravity™ EVA midsole joins the sole and insole to create a supportive whole. Triple-density EVA insole supports the arch, cushions key strike zones, and strengthens your stride. TPU heel counter protects against shock and provides torsional support for your ankles. High-density EVA heel increases medial support. Highly breathable synthetic mesh upper dries quickly and keeps your feet cool.

I rotate between the treksta mid gortex and the evelution II low quarter. Shoe meets all expectations for fit, comfort and looks all right. The problem is the sole separates in the heel area within the year of purchase. No rough stuff, just normal walking and hiking and some bike riding. I am hooked on the shoe and will try another pair and trust they will stay together until the sole is worn down. My first pair of Treksta Mid GTX did the same thing in less than a year but I wore them quite a bit more.
