I collect watches. I added this one to my collection mainly for the casual yet dressy appeal. It is a shape that was very popular in the 30's & 40's and is still being produced by watch companies that are priced in the multiple of $1000's. This watch is comfortable to wear and easy to read. The attention to detail is quite good. The inner dial is a swirl pattern, the numbers are different in their style and angle of view. All around the dial you can find many palm trees. The dual time zone feature is great for a quick read. The date window at 12:00 is easy to read and overall I like the watch. It does sport a quartz swiss movement and as you would expect it is accurate. The water resistance is only 165' which is much less than my divers that are rated to 1000', but this watch should be fine for a light swim or accidental trip into the pool. When I look at it I easily find myself remembering our recent trip to Kona and put myself back on "Island Time".
