The boots that were shipped to me were clearly defective. After looking at the mottled, rubber-rot exterior, I never even bothered to put my shoe inside, so I can't honestly say anything about they're being true or not true to size.

I like these boots very much. Have been looking for 2 years in stores with no success. Although I had a size problem getting the right fit. I wear a size 9W dress shoe. Ordered a 10W boot. WAY TO BIG- Returned for a size 9W-- Still to big- Returned again for 8W fits good in a size 9 dress shoe.

These are great boots that have saved my shoes and kept my feet dry. I do not mind winter snows, and rainy fall and spring days since I know that I can fall back on these boots. I recently was in a subway station when heavy rains poured down into the station and onto the tracks.My boots allowed me to navigate the flooded platforms, climb the stairs as water poured down, and walk five blocks to my home. Meanwhile, other people who exited the subway and wore no boots needed to wait for the rains to stop. Even people who wore galoshes needed to wait for the severe rains to stop.

Tingley - all the products - are the best. This boot is great for snow and slush - when the low cuts are not enough.Size: I find the Tingleys true to fit thanks to their stretch. These boots do not stretch. Order the exact length as your shoe and it will fit fine. They are just a tad longer than your shoe.Width: It seems like they are just a bit wider than other Tingleys. However, I have a narrow shoe and had to order medium. I suspect they are a good medium. They also have a high instep so they go on and off easily.General: They have a nice inside so the slide on and off easily. They also keep your shoes looking good. The kick piece on the heel makes them very easy to remove - a nice touch. They also have excellent traction on the bottom. Great for snow, slush, etc. They are completely waterproof so no worries there.I would purchase without reservations.
