I have had a well used pair of Timberland Hiking Boots Leather since 1994 (that is a long time to last me, I go through boots and trainers quickly) and I loved them. This shoe is the perfect replacement as it is comfortable, needed no break in period, is waterproof and fits perfectly with medium or thick socks.

These hiking shoes are very comfortable -- there's no break in period. However, I wear a size 7 and needed a size 7.5 in these shoes. Also, they are not waterproof. I walked through wet grass for 10 to 15 minutes, and water leaked through the shoes to my socks. I would say they are a good hiking shoe as far as comfort, stability, and traction are concerned, but if you want a water resistant or waterproof shoe, keep looking.

I've worn Timberland boots about seven years ago. They were very comfortable then as now. I really appreciate the durability, and the style I consider classic. Though I've mostly worn these shoes in urban environments, I can also see using them as hiking boots. Considering how long I get to wear them, based on past experience, they are a good value for the price charged. And I appreciate the ShoeBuy price which included a 20% off promotion.
Wears this shoe: Mostly fall and winter.
Not what I was expecting.

I bought these boots to wear hiking here in the Pacific Northwest. This it the brand my very outdoory sister swears by. They fit just fine, but the workmanship (stitching) was not good, and there was actually stuffing showing on the tongue where the seam wasn't closed, so I sent them back.
Wears this shoe: I bought them to hike in, but never left the kitchen.

A friend recommended the brand and the reviews helped me decide to purchase these boots. I walk everyday for my job and the waterproof boot keeps my feet dry with the morning dews. At this point, I love the boots and definetly will recommend them to coworkers. Thanks for making a wonderful work boot.
