This shoe offers further evidence that Timberland continues to match comfort with ruggedness. Solidly built -- a tad heavy but likely good for kicking in doors, if you're so inclined -- comfortable out of the box, good-looking Oxford. Haven't tested the waterproof aspect yet, but I don't expect any worries there.

Oiled leather collects dust and pollen - difficult to clean off. Shoes look old soon after first wear.

They were somewhat stiff and bulky, but I also was able to pretty comfortably walk 2.5 miles on my first wearing of them! Waterproof was a selling point.

The insole is specific to the shoe and is very uncomfortable. Instead of replacing the insole, the design of the insole provided requires replacing the whole shoe. This is a very poor product. I will never purchase another.

I have buying HS Trask's but since they have moved their manufacturing I have not been as pleased with the shoes for the price. I thought I would try Timberland. I have been pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable right from the box. Nice shoe with jeans.
