Well padded sole and my 2-1/2 year old finds them comfortable. The straps are a little tight so it is not as easy for him to put on as other sandals--you may want to consider another shoe for toddlers.

I liked it because of the tread on the sole, and due to the straps on the shoe itself. My son is constantly walking out of his shoes, he has not done this with this one.
