Let me first say, I'm on my second pair of these. They are very comfortable, and the tops are very durable. Part of what makes these boots so comfortable also detracts from their durability though. The tops of my first pair still look great, but I've worn through the bottom. I do wear these boots every day though..and the floor where I work has an abrasive non slip coating and my job requires A LOT of walking. Even with that the first pair lasted me about 9 months..so not to bad.

From the ankle forward, this boot has a matte texture/look and the rubber toe cap makes for a tall top of the shoe.This boot has a very roomy toebox - even for someone with a wide foot - no need to size up for wide feet. The forefoot has great cushioning for walking and standing comfort - on balance, it is far more comfortable underfoot than any of my 6 pairs of Dr Martens.The collar and tongue (ankle and above) are work boot stiff; you need to position the tongue properly and at least loosely tie the boot to hold the tongue in place - if the tongue slides to the side or gets out of alignment, it is stiff enough to be irritating.This boot is tough enough enough to be your only work boot, but good looking enough to do what most TL's are purchased for - hanging out.

I am a foodservice delivery driver. I go up and down a ramp with groceries 5 days a week. I literally used to go through boots every 3 months. These are the most rugged and omfortable shoes i've ever had.Indestructible!!!
