Excellent boots! I purchased these for my son to wear in early spring and late fall. What he likes most in these is that they are "springy". The boots are very well-made, with good arch and ankle support.

I like everything about these boots so far. I wore them straight out of the box for a full days work and haven't stopped wearing them since. My feet were not sore at all and needed no break-in period.

Bought because my 13 yr old son has already reached a size 15! We were not disappointed. My son put them on the minute they arrived. He wore them for 2 hours in the neighborhood and then a week later wore them on a 2.5 day camping trip. He returned and said the shoes were awesome; very comfortable and stable.Would purchase again in a heart beat!

When I first tried on the shoes, I had that sinking feeling that I would have to return them for being too tight all over. So I figured I would give them a try around the house to see if they would loosen up. I wore them very loose every night for a few hours, did a few deep knee bends, then finally decided it was time to hit the pavement with them. It took about 3 daily work-day wearings, but they finally did break-in, and I can now say that are very, very comfortable. I don't feel the steel toe. The support is excellent, and I have a good feeling that they will last a long time. I have had Timberlands before, and they always are durable. One minor complaint: The green hang tag on the side of the shoe makes it look cheap. I took a black marker, and inked it out, but it's still there. I would recommend Timberland get rid of it. It adds no value to the shoe. If it wasn't for the long break-in, and green tag, I would have given this shoe 5 Stars. Half my use is indoors, and outdoors on both hard and gravel surface.
