The last hiker I bought last year had cloth loops to hold the lacing. Those failed after 9 months. This new shoe has a better system. I am pleased with the fit. I wear these every day in my work and this is my 3rd pair I have purchased. They're a great shoe.

These boots would be perfect if they fit a little better. They run a little big, but not big enough to go a half size smaller. I've tried to tighten them up more, but with gussetted tounge it's difficult to go far enough. This is the closest Timberland boot to the ones I had for two years, and in some ways are better. I love the Anti-Fatigue cusioned insole. I love the composite safety toe. They are light weight. I just have found them to not fit as well. The tongue slides to the side, and the lace eyelets dig into my ankle at times. I think this is mostly due to poor fit though. My last pair fit nearly perfectly, and these are the same size?

This was my third pro series boot purchase in 6 years and I'm never disappointed. These are even better! They are more comfortable and timberland put a lot of safety features that are required by my company. Great boots!
