Won't buy anymore December 23, 2009 Reviewer: Dave from Mississippi Shoe Size: Felt full size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked 1)The laces were too short, they were laced up in every other hole when received and tied with a half knot, too short to tie a full knot.2)So much padding in the tongue that the shoe was tight even without laces!3)After removing most of the padding from the tongue and purchasing replacing the 32" laces with 48" laces I was able to wear them with thin socks, I would have preferred to wear medium thick socks as I have always used with my old hiking shoes. Wears this shoe: Everyday for a 3 mile trail hike

Rugged, light weight, and excellent fit November 30, 2009 Reviewer: Anonymous from Rural Vermont Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width My only complaint is that the laces are a bit short - given the closed-loop lacing system. Wears this shoe: General outdoor use, especially back country walks

Timberland Field Boot November 23, 2009 Reviewer: Martin from Upstate, NY Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Laces are too short and collar is insufficiently padded. Thus, laces have to made too tight and collar rubs ankles painfully raw during first ten wearings. Otherwise, they are fine. Wears this shoe: During outside work.

Looks, but comfort falls flat. November 10, 2009 Reviewer: BradH from New Mexico Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width This was my second pair of Timberland boots. I bought these because of the looks, but the comfort fell flat. I had to buy a good set of inserts to make them feel reasonably comfortable. The inserts that come with the boot are like paper. The shoe laces are too short and too thin. I replaced them with heavier longer ones. Unlike the Merrells and Hi-Tecs I've had that are pure comfort right out of the box, these boots will be my last Timberlands. Comfort is more important than looks. Wears this shoe: Few times per week for casual use.
