Pretty Good Shoe
By Edwin, from Leesburg, VA | April 09, 2013
This is my first pair of Timberland Boat shoes as I only have Sperry's and decided to give these a shot.Since I'm used to Sperry's the Timberland Boat shoe seems a little heavier compared to the Sperry's. In addition a downside to the shoe is that is pretty wide and Sperry offers Narrow, Regular, and Wide boat shoes. I tend to use the narrow ones. These came in only one width and they were wide and heavy for me.They are very comfortable and I love wearing them!Overall, great shoe although I would definitely get Sperry's over the Timberland's and the price tag isn't much of a difference between both of them.

not cushiony

I like everything except it did not have enough cushioning...I tried to put a gel insole but it made it tight...I guess I just have to use it as is but not for extended walking

My 1st boat shoe
By Ryan, from Pittsburgh, PA | October 18, 2011
Needed a very comfortable, slip on, sturdy shoe that looks good. Perfect choice-the only thing is the insole is starting to come unglued; i'll just glue it. :)

High Expectations
By Rolento X, from Maryland | June 22, 2011
These shoes are extremely comfortable. The material is very flexible and forgiving and here within lies my only gripe. If you have a large shoes size, 13 or above, you are without the luxury of a 1/2 size. Therefore, these shoes run long and the material does not hug the contours of your foot. As a result, if you are hoping to sport these during the summer bare foot on the boardwalk, you'll fine that your heel will slip out of the shoe slightly. The laces are placed just low enough to make lacing them tight not enough to hold them securely on your foot. I saw a similar Rockport Boat shoe of the same design and tried it on and had a better fit in the same size. Therefore, beware if you are buying these with a large shoe size. Unlike Timberland boots, you probably won't have the luxury of wear these with socks and insole padding.
