Product Description (Men's Timberland Classic Boat 2-Eye)

Features include a classic moccasin construction, a custom fit lacing system and a special sole design for excellent traction on slippery or wet surfaces. Premium, full-grain leather and handsewn vamp for comfort good looks and durability. 360 degree rawhide lacing system. 3/4 leather-covered EVA heel cup for cushioning support. Siped rubber outsole for traction. Upper stitched to rubber midsole, which is cemented to outsole for durability.

Fit: This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

This is my first pair of Timberland Boat shoes as I only have Sperry's and decided to give these a shot.Since I'm used to Sperry's the Timberland Boat shoe seems a little heavier compared to the Sperry's. In addition a downside to the shoe is that is pretty wide and Sperry offers Narrow, Regular, and Wide boat shoes. I tend to use the narrow ones. These came in only one width and they were wide and heavy for me.They are very comfortable and I love wearing them!Overall, great shoe although I would definitely get Sperry's over the Timberland's and the price tag isn't much of a difference between both of them.

I like everything except it did not have enough cushioning...I tried to put a gel insole but it made it tight...I guess I just have to use it as is but not for extended walking

Needed a very comfortable, slip on, sturdy shoe that looks good. Perfect choice-the only thing is the insole is starting to come unglued; i'll just glue it. :)
