These boots are quality made and look really nice with skinny jeans. I would have ordered them in the gold color but they were out of my size so I got the dark brown. I only gave them 4 stars for 2 reasons... I felt like they might have looked better if the body of the boot were an inch or 2 taller. Also, they were a bit snug in the toe area but have loosened up as I've worn them around. In spite of the heel height, they are fairly comfortable. Will be better as the leather stretches in the toe box. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase.

Uncomfortable tongue

The tongue on the left boot rides on the inside of my ankle right at the ball of the joint and there is a hard area along the edge of the tongue that causes great discomfort. The right boot has no such problem. It appears to be a flaw in the way the material was gathered along the outer edge of the tongue. I am hoping this will soften up over time.
