I like everything except it did not have enough cushioning...I tried to put a gel insole but it made it tight...I guess I just have to use it as is but not for extended walking

Upper shoe leather is tender, yet durable, and molds to foot; however, the sole of the shoe is hard as a rock, and you will need to add your own shoe cushions for comfort. The hand-made style gets instant attention. over all, it is a likeable shoe.

These shoes were super popular back when I was in 7th and 8th grade, however I didn't own a pair then. Upon gaining some interest in hiking, I relived some childhood desires and went with this classic pair of boots. They are of good quality, are comfortable for hours, and are really a good bang for the buck. Sure there are nicer, high performance hiking boots out there, but these are a nice middle ground and still look good with a pair of jeans.
