Waterproof - Premium waterproof leather for comfort, durability and abrasion resistance. Smart Comfort® System - Timberland® shoes with the Smart Comfort® System deliver durable comfort. Shock-absorbing construction of the chassis, midsole and outsole reduces shock to eliminate leg and foot fatigue. And a zoned force distribution footbed spreads impact shock, creating a pressure-free zone, regardless of walking or standing.
Recycled PET - One or more major components contain at least 50% recycled polyethylene therephthalate (PET), the plastic used to make soda bottles. PVC Free - This product contains no PVC.

I buy this shoe because I am tough on shoes. This brand and this particular shoe will hold up to my daily wear and tear. I usually wear out the sole of these shoes before needing to buy another pair.
