Made with waterproof, breathable, GORE-TEX® membrane and breathable mesh upper, this resilient trail runner delivers a cushioned ride for over pronators. Torque Control™ platform provides optimal pronation guidance to support low arches and achieve maximum stability. I had the mid-cuts, and enjoyed wearing them last winter. I was hoping these would feel the same, and I wasn't disappointed. Great for wet, fall days; but very comfortable anytime.

I am more of a walker than a serious hiker, though these shoes might be good for the latter, too. They have an odd longitudinal ridge in the footbed that feels strange at first but amazingly it feels comfortable very quickly. I bought them because I wanted a waterproof shoe (these have GoreTex) with decent looks for sightseeing while traveling, and these appear to fit the bill, though a slightly less "running shoe" look would have been preferable. They are warmer than I would prefer for summer wear - - but that seems to be a general problem with waterproof shoes that I have tried.
