Great back pack! Lots of padding to make it comfortable to carry. I got the turquoise color and liked it better in person. It will last a very long time.

At first I absolutely refused to pay this much for a back pack but I do see a chiropractor 2-3 times a week because I have a slight form of scoliosis and he recommended a Northface backpack with the padded straps. Many of my friends also have them and noticed huge differences in back pain (for the better) and so I finally decided to purchase this backpack.. I was hesitant at first but oh my GOSH I'm so glad I did!!!! It has SO many pockets, it's extra light.. I carry my Mac book and COLLEGE text books plus random odds and ends all over campus everyday and I have virtually no back pain. I feel as though I am only carrying 1 text book. It is very durable. I got it in black and absolutely love it. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. Definitely worth the money!!

I bought this backpack because I was having a lot of lower back pain and I attributed a lot of it to the heavy school bag that I was carrying. This thing is great. As soon as I put it on and fasten the waist strap and the chest strap, I can instantly feel less strain in my neck. When I ordered it online, I was worried that it would be small, and it is NOT. I can fit: my binder, 2 textbooks, my SIGG water bottle, coffee mug, Franklin planner, a wallet, a TI-86 calculator, and a few various other things. My laptop fits, too, but I have to take out a textbook to do so. My only negative comment is that I would have liked the waist strap to be thicker and padded, like my hiking backpack, but then you wouldn't be able to tuck it away as nicely. It's about 1" wide and still helps tremendously. Very sturdy construction, good materials. I hope to be using this bag for years and years.

I purchased the Recon in Tungsten Grey and am extremely happy with my purchase. I searched all over the place and Shoebuy gave me the best deal. My package came promptly and I had no trouble tracking my order. I have had a difficult time in the past buying backpacks because they are always too big and don't fit on my back correctly. This backpack is the perfect size for women and the back support is fantastic! I really appreciate the fact that North Face engineered a version of this backpack for women.I'm sure the regular Recon would be a great fit for men

I ordered this backpack for school. I wanted one that had a waist strap. When I found the Recon, I was really excited that I could fold them into the back of the back if I didn't need them. I love the colors. The only thing I don't like it that the straps are kind of thin (the waist strap and the handle at the top of the pack). Overall I am very satisfied and would invite others to purchase it also.
