Very good choice at now.Comfortable, easily ajustable, stay solid on feet.However, the sole is a little too sticky, hope it will last long.

I've always had good luck with Tevas, and found that the company stands behind their product. Unfortunately, the latest shoes have a very strong odor (think dairy barn!), and the soles are composed of a very sticky rubber (think climbing shoes). The rubber is so sticky that it picks up loose gravel, which then becomes a fall hazard on tile or other hard, smooth surfaces. I have to believe I've got a defective pair of shoes, and they're being returned today. Just an FYI in case you also get a pair like this-- the smell doesn't go away after a few days, and the sticky soles don't get better after wear.

I loved my first pair of Tevas, liked my second, and these are my third. They don't inspire confidence like my old ones. They didn't feel tough enough when wading in the sharp rock ledges of the Shenandoah River. The straps don't seem to stay tight. For daily walking though, they are very comfortable and required no breaking in. I just wouldn't trust them on an adventure.

I have a pair of Teva Universal Guide Buckle sandal that I bought 10 years ago. I've worn the sole smooth. I don't know why Teva in their infinite wisdom change the design of this sandal. I've tried several other pairs in the past few years and they didn't feel or look right. If you're looking for the original Universal Buckle Sandal, these are the closest your going get. The adjusting straps are good but the little nylon cloth ring that holds the ends of the straps doesn't stay in place when you take them off. Besides that they fit and feel comfortable. As for sizing I always found Teva to run one size larger for my feet. I take a size 10 and I always get a size 9 in my Teva's and they fit perfect.
Wears this shoe: Wish I could were them to work, most of the time when out doors.

This sandal replaced my Teva Guide sandal I wore for 6 years and the Universal Buckle 2 had every improvement that I thought the older pair needed 1)Improved strap system 2) Better arch support 3)Trimmer fit/less bulky 4)Improved padding at contact points 5)lighter weight.
