Great useful sandal February 21, 2013

I am typically a size 11.5 in womens, but I had purchased a pair of the original Hurricanes at a sidewalk sale in a size 11 so I knew they would fit. I was a bit concerned since some of the reviews of this new design were not positive but I have been very very pleased. I still have my old Hurricanes complete with splattered paint but I now have these lovely ones. I did actually order the originals also, but in a side by side comparison, I found these to be more flexible and slightly lighter. They have a bit more delicate a look, with the thinner sole. I am having some trouble with foot pain, so these felt better, right from the start. And now after a full week of wear in Puerto Rico, I can tell you that they are my new favorite sandals.

As always, this pair of Tevas needs no breaking in. I purchased these after going without for several years, and I slipped right back into this pair as if I had never been without them. I hike and backpack, and I am planning a trip to Europe with a lot of hiking, and these shoes are great to change into when my feet need air. They are very cushiony, and do very well as a river shoe as well, drying quickly and keeping traction. One of the most wonderful outdoor rec shoes ever made.

These are good for me. I hoped they were like ones I got years ago but the straps are longer. In fact I felt the fit was good enough that I ordered 3 pairs in case I can't get them again.
