Product Description (Men's Teva Churn)
The Churn is a multi-sport shoe that specializes in getting wet. Its mesh upper is extremely breathable and quick-drying, making it the perfect shoe for those hot days when all you want to do is plunge into the water. Back in camp, you can take advantage of the Churn's fold-down heel Shoc Pad when you just feel like slipping into your shoes.
Spider Original rubber is made to grip like crazy in wet environments and a thin nylon shank keeps your foot stable and in control. Molded EVA foam in the midsole is light and durable, while a soft Shoc Pad in the heel gives you serious shock absorption.

I bought this shoe because I like "water socks" and thought that these would be a good alternative with more stability and traction. Pretty pleased with these...I still haven't found an inexpensive "5-Star" shoe that meets all levels of comfort, stability, longevity etc... yet!- But a nice pair to kick-around-in.

Teva Churn tarmac July 20, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt full size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width
Good and bad: The good... Very light, keeps feet cool, and feels like a flexible sneaker. The bad... no arch support and no neoprene protecting top of foot. The footbed is flat, but works with arch inserts. Last, I ordered one size larger for proper fit and it's still a hair small. If you are comparing to other sport brand shoes, it's sized a little small. COLOR COMMENT: unlike website pics, the mesh is green. It has a couple dark brown plastic areas, but the overall color looks more like an old green army bag... Not like the website pictures. Other than wanting and expecting a brown/tan sneaker and getting this green color, I am happy with the characteristics of the shoe.

What I was looking for January 19, 2012

I bought this shoe primarily to use for a camp shoe and water crossing shoe for back-packing. I wanted a light shoe that is easy to get on and off. Others I hike with use Crocs, but I wear a size 14 (envision those cartoon shoes). I almost gave up finding something light and servicable - these are better! They are light - lighter than expected frankly. They also look decent and aren't bad for walking. I have yet to use them for their intended purpose, but so far so good. The only thing I think I would like different is if the laces were elastic, but that's just a tweak. Nice shoe.

strange, but fun October 10, 2011

Almost like ballet shoes, very, very light and fit very tightly, but are comfortable. Take time to get used to them without thinner socks help. Strange, but I really like them.
Wears this shoe: whenever for whatever. I have lots of shoes.
