My daughter loves the shoe. I would order a narrow when ordering for a female. My daughter does not wear a narrow width, but we had to send back the regular width for narrow.

Heel Height is Not 2-1/2

The height of the heel on this shoe is not 2-1/2".At its highest point it is 2-1/4".This height makes a good walking shoe. I have a wide foot, and this shoe fits the width well. You do not have to break in an unstructured shoe.

I have a very high arched foot and these are the only shoes I wear around the house, year around. I have foot pain also, but once I put these shoes on, they do not hurt. This is the 3rd pair of high arch Birkenstocks I've bought..I hope they keep making this style for a long time.
Wears this shoe: Every day, around the house. The minute I get up I put them on.

I really like how these look, especially with slacks. I can wear them for a while, but eventually this particular style makes my foot feel fatigued. (I think it's the pressure over the mid-foot.) I don't think they would do this to everyone, but it could be a caution if you have thick feet forward of your arch.They look nice in a classy-casual way.
